KAILASH MANSAROVAR YATRA - 2009

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu. We will receive you at airport. Check into Hotel on full board basis
.
Day 2: Half day Sight Seeing in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Bhudhanikantha and Swayanbhunath Darshan.

Day 3: Drive Kathmandu – Nyalam (115 Km) we depart at 5.00 am from our Hotel to the Nepal- Tibet border along the famous Arankiko Highway. Stopping for a quick breakfast at Dhulikhel and lunch at Kodari. After immigration and customs formalities on both sides (Kodari and Zhangmu) we drive to the small town - Nyalam (3700mt. High).

Day 4: Rest day for altitude acclimatization. All meals, overnight stay at same lodge at Nyalam.

Day 5: After breakfast Drive to Saga – (250kms-4500m High) Enjoy grand view of Mt.Shishapangma (8021mt High) Gauri Shankar and other high mountains from Lalugla Pass(5050mt.high) packed lunch will be served at a sacred lake Pigusto, Overnight lodge in Saga.

Day: 6: After breakfast drive to Prayang (225km) across the vast Tibetan Plateau. Packed Lunch will be served on the way, overnight stay in Lodge.

Day 7: Prayang – Lake Manasarovar, Very auspicious day for all yatries who will have first glimpse of Holy Manas and Darshan of Mt. Kailash from Horrchu Pass. Overnight stay camp/Lodge at the shore of lake Mansarovar.

Day 8: Till 2 pm free for Pooja and Hawan, Drive to Darchen (4750m High) thru Mansarovar parikrama. Overnight at lodge.

Day 9: Parikarma/Kora begins drive 8 kms to Tarboche and trek up to Diraphuk gompa. Pack lunch will be served on the way and dinner and overnight stay at Camping.

Day 10: Trek to Zuthulphuk Gompa – Parikarma continues, this is the day every pilgrims talks about, the most difficult journey through out the Yatra, Trek up to Dolma La pass (5600m) We will offer very short prayers at Dolmala and move towards Gaurikunda. The programmed in the same as usual, lunch on the way and dinner at the camp, Zuthulphuk Gompa.

Day 11: Zuthulphuk – Darchen – Horr After Breakfast, We will trek around 10 kms. We will be reaching at the point, where our jeeps will be waiting to drive us to Darchen, Parikarma ends. After Lunch we will drive to Siralung Zangpo at the Shore of Manas.Stay at Lodge.

Day 12: Drive back to Prayang, we return the same route we have traveled and same procedure will be followed for meals and accommodation as before.

Day 13: Drive back to Saga.

Day 14: Drive back to Nyalam.

Day 15: Dhulikhel via Kodari & Zhangmu, Overnight in Hotel at Dhulikhel.

Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu , Over night at Kathmandu.

Day 17: Departure to Onward Destination via Delhi.

Kailash Mansarovar Helicopter Itinerary

Fixed Departure Dates - 2009 :

Every - Sunday & Thursday May, June & Sept.

Itinerary:-

DAY 01- : Arrive Kathmandu Air port and transfer to Hotel by our Escort.

DAY 02 - : Half day Sight Seeing in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Bhudhanikantha and Swayanbhunath Darshan..

Day 03 - : Early morning Fly to Nepalgunj /Surkhet by domestic air and transfer to Hotel with our Escort stay Hotel Batika/Sneha.

Day 04 - : Early morning Fly to Simikot and rest few hrs to complete Immigration process of Nepalese side and than Helicopter to Hilsa -Taklakot border 3750m.stay at the Guest house.

Day 05 - : Stay one more night for acclimatization at the same Guest House.

DAY 06 -: Drive to MANASAROVAR – (4560m.)
After taking holy bath and performing Puja, will take you to Parikrama of Mansarovar lake and proceed to Base Camp of Mt.Kailash - stay at Guest House in Darchen.

DAY 07 -: TREK TO DIRA-PUK (4900m) –
Drive about 8 km to Tarboche, this is the starting point fr Kora and trek to Derphuk stay at camp. The 45km trek around Mt.Kailash. Those who do not want wish to trek around Kailash can go back to Mansarovar / Darchen and wait for the Kora / Parikrama group to return.

DAY 08 - :TREK TO ZUTUL-PUK (4790m) –
We will again proceed to Drolma Chu Valley, heading up towards a high pass, the Drolma La (5640m). It’s a tough climb to the summit which is festooned with prayer flags but from there it is all downhill or flat to Zuthulpuk. Stay at the camp of Zuthulphuk.

DAY 09 - : TREK TO DARCHEN (4560m) - DRIVE TO MANASAROVAR –
After completing Kora will go further 2 hrs treks where our Jeeps awaiting for us.drive to Taklakotvia Darchen - stay at Taklakot Guest House

DAY 10 -: Early morning drive to Hilsa -Surkhet Nepalgunj/Surkhet & fly back to Kathmandu or Drive to Indian border and drop to Lucknow by Sumo for onward journeys.

Day 11 -: Transfer to Airport for onward journeys.
